HIPAA Notice

GoodCare OS is a product of TGCH Technologies Corporation ("TGCH"). This notice describes how TGCH approaches its responsibilities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the regulations issued under it, including the Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule.

Our Role as a Business Associate

When an agency uses GoodCare OS to schedule, document, and bill for care, that agency is generally a HIPAA Covered Entity (or a Business Associate), and TGCH acts as its Business Associate. In that role, TGCH creates, receives, maintains, or transmits protected health information (PHI) on the agency's behalf, subject to a signed Business Associate Agreement.

Our Commitments

• Use and disclose PHI only as permitted by the applicable BAA, by the agency's instructions, or as required by law.
• Maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect electronic PHI, consistent with the HIPAA Security Rule.
• Apply access controls and the minimum-necessary principle so that workforce members and systems access only the PHI needed to perform their function.
• Require subcontractors handling PHI to commit to equivalent protections.
• Notify the affected agency of breaches of unsecured PHI without unreasonable delay and consistent with the Breach Notification Rule.
• Support agencies in meeting individuals' rights to access and amend their information.

For Patients and Families

TGCH does not have a direct relationship with the patients served by our customers. If you are a patient or family member, your care agency is the Covered Entity responsible for your records and for providing its own Notice of Privacy Practices. Please contact your agency directly with questions about your health information or to exercise your rights.
